Michael J. Lenihan, CPA, Shareholder

After about 40 years in accounting, Mike’s true passion still lies in the relationships he has built with his clients. After graduating from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting, Mike joined Rudler, PSC in 1977. He attained Shareholder status in 1983, and was elected President in 1992.

As President, Mike worked with his team to shape Rudler into a business that remains consistent, innovative and adaptive to meet the needs of clients, employees and the environment. While he has stepped down from his role as President, Mike remains at Rudler to spend more time on what he loves most about the business – collaborating with his clients. He looks forward to dedicating more of his focus on them and their businesses in this new chapter of his career.

“I’ve always said I’ll retire when work stops being fun. I’m still enjoying myself too much to leave.”

During his 26 years as president of Rudler, Mike looked to his team to help him create a culture that values giving back to the community, celebrating milestones, and most importantly, putting people first. As a new generation of leadership comes into place, he knows that this culture will remain the same.

Mike and his wife Connie have been married for 42 years. Outside of work, they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, who tend to keep them pretty busy. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife. For the last 20 years, he has been actively involved in BeConcerned, an organization that assists low-income residents of Northern Kentucky in obtaining basic necessities, as a board member.
