As a client accounting manager for Rudler, Lisa specializes in using her QuickBooks ProAdvisor skills to do bookkeeping on behalf of clients as well as processing 1040s during tax season. Her current role is a far cry from her original role – receptionist – with the firm, an opportunity that came as a result of a high school teacher who took notice of her hard-working nature and recommended her for the job. She skipped her senior trip to Florida to interview for the job with Rudler and was hired shortly thereafter. Lisa began taking on more and more responsibilities as they arose, eventually becoming an accountant herself via on-the-job training.
Crediting the family atmosphere and work/life balance the firm has cultivated, she continues to be motivated by the rise of women in the accounting field. “It’s inspiring to watch that progression and see how much women have accomplished in my field. As a result, the work environment has changed and become more of an equal playing field,” she says. She feels this is especially true at Rudler, which is why she has enjoyed working at the firm for 37 years (and counting).
The Westwood, Ohio resident enjoys spending time with her husband Greg and their two children, Kelsey and Zack, and grandchildren. In addition to gardening and cooking, she also enjoys volunteering with InReturn, a Cincinnati-based organization dedicated to helping those that have suffered traumatic brain injuries live as independently as possible.
