Our Leadership Team

Alex Weidner, CPA, CFE

Alex joined Rudler, PSC as an intern in 2007. During his three-year co-op, Alex was eager to contribute in any way that he could. So, in addition to working towards obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Accountancy and Economics from Thomas More College, he took the initiative to move the firm toward a paperless office with improvements in software. It’s this very way of forward thinking and hard work that earned him a full-time position after graduation in 2010, and his role as President in July 2018.

“My goal with every client is to become a valued member of their team and help them solve their problems.”

As President, Alex is focused on strengthening Rudler’s unique culture and evolving the firm to provide more value to clients. He is playing an integral role in developing Rudler’s Client Advisory Services (CAS) department, which aims to create more value added services for our clients.

His primary focus is non-profits, closely held businesses and high-net worth individuals. Alex uses his Certified Fraud Examiner designation to assist Rudler’s  clients with fraud investigations and designing controls to reduce the risk of fraud inside their organization.

He is also passionate about cultivating the next generation of industry professionals. Alex serves on the Thomas More Accounting Advisory Board, where he works to encourage students’ interest in accounting. He also spoke to high school seniors about accounting at the Governor’s Scholar Program at Northern Kentucky University (NKU), and attends various career fairs and events to share industry insights with student.

Additionally, Alex participates in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), designed for low-income taxpayers – an organization he has been involved in since college. He continues to assist in attracting and retaining talent for the firm through the co-op program, which is near and dear to his heart.

Alex and his wife met playing soccer at Thomas More College. They currently reside in Hebron, Ky. with their two-year old daughter. His family enjoys visiting the zoo and aquarium, and attending FC Cincinnati and Cincinnati Reds games. When he has a free moment, you can find him on the golf course or  working on restoring his ’79 Trans Am.
