Kentucky-Income Tax: Increased Security Measures

Now Include Identity Confirmation Quiz

The Kentucky Department of Revenue announced that it has taken additional steps to enhance the safety and security in processing personal income tax returns. Some taxpayers will receive a letter from the department asking them to take an identity confirmation quiz before their returns can be processed and refunds issued.

Receiving the letter does not mean the taxpayer has been a victim of identity theft. However if the taxpayer receives the quiz letter and has not yet filed a return, he or she should contact the Kentucky Department of Revenue immediately. See e-Tip link below for more details on completing the quiz and contact information.
